Walking through the valley’s shadow
is something I must do
facing every difficult task
which God has me go through
____
He’s purposed things which are to be
His process for our growth
knowing we are willing by faith
His grace to us He’ll show
____
applying just enough pressure
He’ll exhort us in love
as we press forward to that mark
of that high calling above
____
it’s never easy walking blind
when shadows seem so dim
but Jesus leads us through the dark
we’re safe when we’re with Him
____
remember God is teaching us
and strengthening our faith
through all these valley experiences
as Jesus shows the way
____
and when the victory has been won
we come out at the crest
while looking back we see our gain
how God did all the rest
____
then God is glorified and praised
as trust has proved its worth
another triumph through Jesus
His will is done on earth
